Frequently Asked Questions

Weddings FAQ
How far do you travel for weddings?
I serve Southeast Louisiana and the AL/MS Gulf Coast, including the Northshore (St. Tammany), Jefferson Parish, the Baton Rouge corridor, Hammond, and Houma. If your wedding is outside those areas, share the location and I’ll confirm availability and travel logistics.
Do you photograph weddings in New Orleans proper?
Yes—but New Orleans weddings are booked through ChadPopulis.com to keep scheduling and availability streamlined. If your venue is inside New Orleans city limits, use the New Orleans booking link.
What wedding coverage options do you offer?
Coverage is tailored to the day, but most couples choose coverage that includes getting ready, ceremony, portraits, and reception highlights. You’ll receive guidance on what coverage length typically fits your timeline and priorities.
Do you help with the wedding-day timeline?
Yes. After booking, I provide timeline guidance to protect portrait time and ensure you’re not rushed. If you have a planner, I’ll coordinate with them to keep everything efficient.
How many photos will we receive?
I don’t promise a fixed minimum because every wedding day has a different pace and timeline. My goal is to deliver a complete story of the day, including the moments you planned for and the moments you didn’t.
What is your turnaround time?
You can typically expect a preview within about a week and the full gallery within several weeks, depending on season and coverage. If you have a tight deadline, tell me up front and I’ll confirm what’s feasible.
Do you retouch every image?
Every delivered image is edited for color, exposure, and consistency. Detailed retouching is applied selectively (portraits, key moments) to keep results natural and timeless.
Do you offer engagement sessions?
Yes. Engagement sessions are available and can be added to your wedding coverage. They’re also a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera.
What happens if it rains?
I plan for it. We’ll build a backup plan for portraits and use covered areas or indoor spaces when needed. Rain rarely ruins photos—lack of planning does.
How do we book?
Booking requires a signed agreement and a retainer to reserve your date. The remaining balance is typically paid prior to or on the wedding day (depending on your package terms).
Boudoir FAQ
I’ve never done boudoir—how does this work?
Most clients are first-timers. I guide you through posing, expression, and angles step-by-step. You don’t need experience—just trust the process.
Where do boudoir sessions take place?
Sessions can be planned in a studio, private indoor location, or an approved space that fits your comfort level and the look you want. We’ll confirm location details during planning.
What should I wear?
Wear what makes you feel confident—lingerie, bodysuits, oversized shirts, robes, or implied/nude options if that matches your comfort level and goals. I’ll provide a prep guide and simple wardrobe recommendations.
Do you provide posing guidance?
Yes—throughout the session. You’ll never be left guessing what to do with your hands, posture, or expression.
How do you handle privacy and discretion?
Privacy is taken seriously. Your images are not shared publicly without clear written permission. If you want a completely private session, we’ll keep it that way.
Do you retouch boudoir images?
Yes—editing is done tastefully. I correct distractions and refine images while keeping skin texture and your natural features intact. If you have specific retouching preferences, share them before editing begins.
Can I bring a friend or partner?
If it helps you feel comfortable, yes—one supportive person is fine as long as it doesn’t disrupt the session flow. Couples boudoir is also available if requested.
What is the turnaround time for boudoir?
You can typically expect a preview within about a week and the full gallery within several weeks, depending on season and the level of retouching requested.
Do you offer albums or print products?
Yes. Albums and prints are available and can be added after you view your gallery.
How do I book a boudoir session?
A signed agreement and retainer reserves your session date. You’ll then receive prep guidance and planning details.
Headshots FAQ
What types of headshots do you offer?
Professional headshots for individuals, teams, and personal brands—ideal for LinkedIn, company websites, speaking profiles, and marketing.
Where do headshots take place?
On-location at your office, a clean indoor setup, or an outdoor/architectural location depending on the look you want. Team headshot days are commonly done on-site for efficiency.
What should I wear?
Solid colors and simple patterns photograph best. I’ll send a quick wardrobe guide so you can choose options that match your industry and brand.
I’m not photogenic—can you help?
Yes. Most people feel that way. I coach expression, posture, and micro-adjustments so your headshots look confident and natural.
Do you retouch headshots?
Yes. Retouching is clean and professional: skin tone balance, minor distractions removed, and refinements that still look like you.
How fast is delivery?
Delivery depends on volume (individual vs team). Many headshot projects are delivered within a couple of weeks, with rush options sometimes available.
Do you photograph teams and large groups?
Yes. For teams, I use a consistent setup so everyone matches visually, and the process stays quick.
Can we match a previous look?
If you have an existing headshot style your company uses, share examples. I can match lighting and framing closely.
How do we book headshots?
Individuals can book directly. Teams should inquire with estimated headcount, location, and preferred dates for an accurate quote and schedule.
